Sections marked [CONFIRM] need confirming with your accountant or solicitor before launch. This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

Who we are

Clearline is operated by [CONFIRM] (ABN [CONFIRM]), based in Queensland, Australia. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

From you as a subscriber: your name, email address, agency name, phone number and payment details (handled by Stripe, never stored by us).

Data you put into Clearline: contact records for the people in your database, including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, notes and call history. This is personal information about third parties and you remain responsible for it.

Automatically: sign-in timestamps and basic technical logs needed to run the service.

Your obligations as an agent

You are the entity that collected the contact data you upload. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold it, for responding to access and correction requests from those people, and for your own privacy obligations under the Privacy Act and any real estate licensing requirements in your state.

How we use it

  • To provide the service and keep your account working
  • To take payment through Stripe
  • To reply when you contact us
  • To send essential service messages such as password resets

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your contact database for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Where it is stored

Data is held in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in Sydney, Australia. Each account's records are isolated at the database level by row-level security, so no other customer can read them. Address geocoding sends street addresses to OpenStreetMap services for coordinate lookup.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), and OpenStreetMap-based services (address lookup). We may also disclose information where required by law.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. If you cancel, it is retained for 30 days so you can change your mind, then permanently deleted. You can export your full database at any time from the Admin page, or delete it yourself.

Security

Encryption in transit, row-level security on every table, and server-side enforcement of subscription access. Payment card details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the OAIC of any eligible data breach as required.

Access, correction and complaints

To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to make a privacy complaint, email [CONFIRM]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

Clearline uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy.

Changes

We will update this page and change the date above if this policy changes. Material changes will be notified by email.
